FLUS

Our hearing is an active sense. It keeps us alert and allows us to react to sounds around us. But imagine if sounds are displaced in time. Then we find ourselves in a situation in which the world of sounds no longer progresses synchronously with the movement of actions.
This is something that we are still not able to react to adequately because our brains cannot accept such displacement. They think that the sounds are the result of that which is taking place before our eyes.
Now imagine if we continue to rely primarily upon our ears…

In flus, use is made of software for interactive sound manipulation, which was written in PD (Pure Data). PD is a graphic programming language for sound and multi media.

Since 1993, De Daders have created theatre performances about human action, thought and the gulf that often lies between the two. Their performances fluctuate between hilarious and abstract scenes.
It is the drama of suggestion and suspense: nothing is articulated. The movement speaks directly to the imagination of the observer.
With their bodies, the performers show where thought becomes action.
